1. Referral:
A parent, doctor, daycare provider, or other professional refers the child to NYC Early Intervention.
2. Service Coordinator Assigned:
NYC assigns a Service Coordinator to guide the family through the process.
3. Multidisciplinary Evaluation:
A comprehensive evaluation is completed to assess the child’s development.
4. Eligibility Determination:
The NYC Early Intervention Official reviews the evaluation to determine eligibility.
5. Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP):
If eligible, an IFSP is created outlining recommended services.
Multidisciplinary Evaluations (EI MDE Evaluation)
Spducation, LLC conducts Early Intervention Multidisciplinary Evaluations (MDEs) for children ages birth to three in New York City. These evaluations assess a child’s development across multiple areas, including communication, cognition, motor skills, social-emotional development, and adaptive skills.
